I don’t run the free version of CCleaner as often as I should because I hate having to log back into all my accounts. Please tell me how to keep my log-ins as if you are explaining to a tech-challenged old person, which I am. Thank you.
Are you using “Health Check” or are you using “Custom Clean”?
It would also help to know what browser you are using, is it Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox. something else?
I’m using “Health Check” and my browser is Firefox.
Thanks for that, at the monent I’m on my phone but I will be home shortly and will post what you need to do.
Thank you!!!
Sorry for the delay getting back to you.
To save cookies so that you don’t get logged out of websites you add them to an ‘Allowlist’.
To do that in Health Check:
Run a Health Check scan and on the first results page click this:
You then get a choice of how to put the cookies you want into the ‘Allowlist’ so they don’t get cleared:
If you choose to add your (some of) your bookmarked sites, and/or add (some of) the frequently chosen sites then you will be given another window in which to choose which ones you want to allow:
Note that if you cannot see the two buttons at the bottom of that pop-up window it is because of your screen resolution/magnification in the Windows settings, if you don’t see those two buttons then you will need to temporarily put the Windows setting to standard while you add the cookies to the allowlist.
Thank you. I’m overwhelmed just reading the instructions. Maybe in my case I should not be running CCleaner.
