Samsung laptops run for a month

BOFFINS at Samsung Electronics have developed a docking station equipped with a fuel cell capable of powering a laptop for a month.

According to Engadget, the new docking station, which works with Samsung's Q35 ultraportable laptop contains a 1200-watt-hour fuel cell.

The dock can power a laptop eight hours a day, five days a week for a month. Apparently the boffins are working on a miniature version which can power a laptop for more than 15 hours "on a coffee cup's worth of fuel". Although it is not clear how much fuel there is in a cup of coffee.

Sounds cool and interesting, not only for laptops but instead for anything that would typically run on batteries such as flashlights, etc.

Although it is not clear how much fuel there is in a cup of coffee.

Depends upon if you get caffeinated or decaf. :P
