Safe to use with dual boot?

I can't find the right place to ask, but I dual boot Windows 7 / Ubuntu 16.04+

.. Question is, I run CC Cleaner and it says it can get rid of ginormous amount of stuff. - will it touch the Ubuntu partitions?

There are shared NTFS which would be fine to clean, but the ext4 I want to keep virginal.

CC only goes through the current drive, so you should be fine.

BUT... have you clicked Analyse first and checked out what it will clean?

once happy, then click Run Cleaner.

Thanks. You mean like C: ? Just Windows? I did run Analyse first and it seemed like it would remove 1/2 my Barracuda

it'll go through your system drive (usually C:\) and clean whatever fits its criteria with Program Files, Windows and the current user.

it only looks at non personal, left-over sort of crap, so if you think it'll remove half your Barracuda then I'll guess you don't do regular maintenance or there are a lot of Restore Points or Recycle Bin etc items to clean up. :)

do an Analyse and post a screen shot if you like and we'll give it a quick once-over for you.

@mta I went ahead as you said and all seems to be well -thanks.

excellent.

did you catch how many gigs it cleared up?
