And to think I was impressed when I got Windows to run on my PC...
Heh, people buy a overpriced PC from Apple with Mac OS X then they install Windows.
13 grand?
They would've hated my grand prize:
"For your ingenious effort here's a complimentary lollipop, balloon, and whoopie cushion."
Ive been reading about this story over the last 3-4 days and i keep thinking the same thing, why on earth would you want to?

Yeah, I was wondering that too. But I guess it is good if you wish to be able to play some games, etc.

At first that's whats i thought but to play modern 3d games you will need a driver that can be run on windows but controls apple hardware of which is not available. So a user is stuck to solitaire and minesweeper and these games are not exactly worth the hassle nor are similar games already not available for apples.
Edit: There was a prize fund of around $14.000 so i guess it was worth it.
Apple hardware, since the transition from G5 to x86, isnt it just ordinary PC hardware?

I would think so, but isn't an iPod ordinary audio hardware? Apple doesn't even want people to think about putting other company's software on their stuff
