Boot from USB drive?
Would it be better to run Recuva from Windows on the drive with deleted data, or to shut down windows and boot from a USB drive?
Recuva is a windows only program it does not have a boot mode, however if your source (the drive you are trying to recover deleted items from) is the drive you have windows on it is better to use the portable build of recuva running from a usb drive - and ideally downloaded using a different PC but that's not usually possible.
How can I create a USB boot disk with windows to run recuva from?
