Indeed! Especially how it regained its balance reminded me of a real animal. When it was going over that concrete block obstacle I was impressed at how it knew to raise its back legs more to clear them.
Negotiating that obstacle course and maintaining balance was impressive. They called it Big Dog but it looked and sounded more like a bee to me. Especially during the walk in the woods, with the buzzing sound and the packs in the front that resembled big multi-faceted eyes.
Well, it sounds more of a "bee dog" rather than a "big dog" to me. I was impressed on how it balances itself, even when kicked.
I've seen that before on Wohba quite some time ago. It is very impressive how it corrects its balance, but I couldn't help feeling sorry for it when it was kicked. Seems animal movement is so ingrained in me that I automatically attach emotions to it.
Amazing! Now they need a man/woman-like robot to take Big Dog for a walk.
