Renewal shortchanged me

My subscription is up for renewal on 7 September. I purchased the new subscription on July 30 and installed it on 30 August.

To my surprise the renewal for the new year ends after 11 months and does not follow from the correct ending of my current subscription. This practice by CCleaner is underhand marketing and shortchanging the customer.

If/when you renrew with less than 90 days remaining on the old one then it should add the remaining time to the new subscription automatically, but that can take a few days to happen.

If there are more than 90 days left then it will not happen automatically.

If you use a different email when renewing it will not happen aitomatically.

In both those cases it is assumed that you want another licence and you will/should be issued with a new licence and key.

If that was not what you wanted then you can contact support and ask them for a 'Licence Merge' which will do what it says and merge the licences together with their times remaining totalled together in one single licence.

From what you say it sounds as if you did purchase a new licence/key so will need to ask support for a merge.

Hopefully they will do that without you losing the time, but as you did purchase the new one in July you have technically had two licences 'running' side-by-side for the last month.

However because you didn't install/activate the new one until 30 Aug, and the old one hasn't expired yet. then you should be OK.

Thank you for your response. I have asked CCleaner for an extension on one month for my subscription. Hopefully they will straighten this out.

It takes a bit but if you used the same email for both, it should fix itself, if I'm not completely misunderstanding the licensing server
