removing old Sony Reader software

I can't get rid of old Sony Reader software. I went through three tiers of support and the last suggestion was to use a registry cleaner. I used CCleaner to try and remove the software. This is the message I got: "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid." I have no clue what that means. Can anyone help?

There are quite a lot of hits when you google ''Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid''

This is just one

Try using Autorun from Sysinternals-dot-com. It lets u decide what will and what wont load upon startup. Don't get to overenthusiastic, one time I turned off the keyboard software and had a heck of time getting past log in box :>O

If you can't get rid of certain softwares (because the installation may be corrupted), you can always try to remove it using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

Autoruns is a great tool, but it can be pretty dangerous if used inexpertly.
