Registry scan shows 37 issues / CCleaner won't Fix

I have 37 issues when CCleaner scans for issues with my registry but when I click on Fix. It says it fixes it but if I rescan everything is still there. I have re scanned my system 10 times and it still remains the same. Is there something I shoudl be doing that I am not doing ??

I have attached a couple screen shots of the scan and also what it says in the Fix area .

Welcome to the forums summerset7! :)

Some things will self-register/re-register themselves if they're needed such as some drivers, codecs, etc., if what uses them is still installed on the system. You don't necessarily have to repair them via registry cleaning as all registry cleaners can produce false positives, i.e.; telling you there's a problem when there really isn't one.

If you don't want to be bothered with seeing them you can:

1. Select all entries, and then right-click them in mass - all at the same time.

2. Choose the 'Add to Exclude list' option and the registry cleaner will never display them as incorrect/errors again.

I personally don't clean things like codecs because they're either installed by Windows, or a 3rd party audio player, or 3rd party video player.

To quote moderator Nergal's signature about the registry:

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON’T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT’S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU’LL BREAK IF YOU DON’T.
