Registration error

Hi,

I bought the latest version of Recova Professional (£24.99) and downloaded it. I immediately received the Email straight away with my License key. On the start-up screen it asks for my license key only. I was expecting it to ask my name also.

when I insert the registration key i get the critical error sound and a popup window saying "Recova Registration 0xa0000011"
“Oops! Something went wrong whilst activating your product Please try again”

I know 100% the key is right as I copied and pasted, tripple checked, no blank spaces etc.

I’m sure I saw somewhere that it said add your name exacly as it appears on the email, yet when I get the initial registration window request, there is no option to add my name, just license key

It doesn’t always ask for your name, sometimes on some products, it just asks for the key.

Just what is cuasing that error I don’t know, but “Try again later” is usually a sign of a network error that needs attention somewhere other than at your end. (So you have to wait until someone fixes it on the network).

Now the good news (or not depending)- it doesn’t make any difference in 99.9% of cases.

When it comes to file recovery there is absolutely no difference between the Free and Pro versions of Recuva. They do exactly the same recovery.
(Except that Free can’t recuva from virtual drives.That’s the 0.01%).

What you pay for with Recuva is automatic updates (none for years) and tech support.
