Hi Everyone,
I didn’t want to automatically renew and now have asked for a refund via the chat but an agent never gets back to me. How do it get my money back? I’ve cancelled my subscription now.
Thanks for any help!

Hi, I’m exactly the same! Been trying their chats and it’s open for hours waiting with no response! Very poor. You can’t even email the request or do it another way.
Hopefully someone from CC Cleaner responds to these forums posts!
If you want to manage your subscription then there is a webpage for that here: Subscription Management
If you need to look up your Cleverbridge reference then: Customer Support Contact Page
If you need to look up your CCleaner licence key then use this tool: CCleaner.com - License Lookup
If you can’t use those, (eg can no longer access your registered email), then you will need to contact support.
Laurence has been chasing support ticket issues up recently but he has gone missing this week, off work sick perhaps?
(There’s a lot of flu and covid about in the UK just now, I’m just getting over a bad dose of flu myself).
These have all been done unfortunately with no success ![]()
Hopefully Laurence will be back on Monday then?
I’m having the same problem, the chat support is a waste of time. I don’t understand how the payment has been authorised when the card details for my account have actually expired.
Hello, I’m having the same issue! Per my previous purchase I was not supposed to be charged until November 21st>
The renewal price for this subscription is $61.75 (including taxes) per license. (Price is subject to change.) Your cost will be based on the maximum number of licenses during each billing cycle. The next payment is due on 11/21/2025.
However, in the middle of the morning they emailed me stating my subscription is set to expire and that I could get 30% off. Then about 1 hour later they charged me $66.90 20 days before my subscription was “supposed” to renew! Apparently I will have to dispute this with my Credit Card company because when I clicked on open support case and entered my complaint the AI said an agent will be with you in 30 minutes. It’s been well over 1 hour+ and I do not have an agent. Please help me with this refund! This is very bad business for your loyal customers! I’ve renewed this for well over 5 years and after this I will likely never use this software again. I went in and canceled any future subscriptions.

Anyone had any luck?
You have to just wait on chat, I was disconnected twice, as it seems to close the chat 2 hours after nothing happening, but on the 3rd attempt and with 2 mins to spare, I got through, requested a refund, got the money credited back 2 days later, you just have to persevere on chat
I managed to speak to someone on chat yesterday after numerous failed attempts. They have cancelled my subscription and I am just waiting for the refund to be processed. The customer service is diabolical. I will never use CCleaner again after this and I am sure many others feel this way.
Same here, I keep getting disconnected but will continue. I tried at 4:30 am and still got disconnected. It has been 3 days now that I have tried. Contacted Cleverbridge, who supplies a subscription billing platform for CCleaner and they informed me I had to go through support at CCleaner, so frustrating.
having same problem it tells me auto renewal and will no accept my email to get into manage my accounts,
Finally success! I’m UK based opened the support chat at 9am today (Friday)….said 10 minutes waiting time….at 10.58am someone from the virtual chat answered and they processed the refund.
So I thought this topic was dead and buried when they cancelled my subscription last year and gave me a refund…. But this morning they’ve sent me a PayPal invoice to pay for services for the past year??
I’ve reported it to PayPal and sent an email directly to CC Cleaner. Anyone else experienced this? Madness putting it politely….
From what you describe then it’s probably PayPal themselves who are asking for the payment, and not CCleaner at all.
If you had (inadvertently?) set up a recurring payment with PayPal then cancelling your subscription with CCleaner does not, can not, cancel that PayPal recurring payment.
You need to cancel it yourself, CCleaner support cannot alter your PayPal account.
We have seen this PayPay recurring payment situation crop up several times now.
It appears to be something that certain users (not everybody though) have clicked in PayPal when they were purchasing their CCleaner subscription.
(I’ve also see it on other fora, ie. in relation to other subscriptions too)
See this for how to check for, and cancel, PayPal recurring payments:
Cc Cleaner have now cancelled this invoice. Not sure if it was the email with screenshots I sent, reporting it to PayPal or sticking a message in here. Thanks
Hi @Davidharveyaston,
I can see from your screenshot that this payment request came from ccleaner.cleverbridges.paypal@gmail.com, which is not an email address either CCleaner or our eCommerce partner Cleverbridge would ever use as it is a Gmail email address, so this did not come from us. All I am able to advise you to do is report this payment request to PayPal as fraudulent.
