Recycle Bin is empty but CCleaner reports the bin cleaning 14 files with a size of 109GB

This is a new behavior for CCleaner for which I have been using for years. Win11 confirms that I have manually emptied the bin with no remaining files and with a size of 0 KB before running CCleaner. Yet it always reports cleaning the bin of 14 files with a size of 109 GB. What is happening?

Probably a corrupt recycle in. It is not an uncommon event.
It’s easy to fix a corrupted recycle bin…

Open the Start Menu and type CMD, on the resulting ‘CMD Run command’ select ‘Run as Administrator’.
Copy and paste (or carefully type) the following command into the Command Window that opens and hit ENTER:
rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin
You can now close the Command Window.
Restart your computer. and it should be fixed.

That was it. Much appreciated.
