I am trying to recover a file but Recuva stopped at 31/12/2013.
I have unintentionally replaced the new file with the older cause same name and clicked yes...
Please help.

what happened to the drive/files for you to use Recuva?
what sort of files are they?
the more information given, the better the chance people can help you.
If you were editing, and saved a file with old data then most likely the new data is lost forever. The old data would have been written on top of the new data, and the new data is unrecoverable.
If you were copying the old file on top of the new file then your chances of recovery are almost as bad. The file entry in the Master File Table would have been overwritten so you won't be able to use Recuva normal scan. You might find the new file with a deep scan, it's difficult to say whether the data has survived the copy process.
