I recently had my laptop accidentally wiped during on OS install and ran Recuva in the hopes of getting some of my files back. I ran a deep scan for pictures and had a good number of items found. Many were even visible when choosing which items to recover. However, after I tried to recover them, each item came back failed saying that "Access is denied" as the reason for it not working. Would anyone know how to fix this problem?
What operating system do you have?

No, it was upgraded from Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium to Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate. It was an accidental thing on their part.
Are you able to see if you take ownership? You could test on one of the files.
