I messed up. I was keeping all my pictures on a 16GB flash drive when suddenly the computer stopped recognizing it. Instead it was saying that the drive needed formatting. Against good advice, I formatted the drive. Now the 16GB drive is reading as only 25MB. I heard about Recuva and tried using the program to recover my pictures but it keeps seeing only 25MB. Other "free" software programs do recognize the full 16GB and find approx. 3500 files to be recovered but they are expensive to complete the recovery process. I don't understand why Recuva isn't able to see the full 16GB. I tried a deep scan but nothing works. I am willing to pay $25 for the professional version but don't want to buy it if the program won't recover my files.
