I had Recuva scan a thumb drive I'd left alone since accidentally deleting its contents. While scanning it found over 12,000 files but when it finished it listed only one & said the others were ignored. The listed one? It was deemed unrecoverable because it was partly overwritten by another - an ignored file!
Solved (choose file type next to "Options") before scanning.
