Recuva HTML file - problems file is garbage!

I used RECUVA to try and recover a deleted file.

RECUVA stated that it could retrieve the file (gave GREEN light) and it placed the HTML file where I requested.

However, the HTML file didn't show me the page as expected or even show me source code, but a whole bunch of garbage code. Here is some "MZ????@??? ?!?L?!This program cannot be run in DOS mode. $1??:u??iu??iu??i." Then down midway of file or so, " CompanyNamePiriform LtdJFileDescriptionRecuva Installer0FileVersion1.0.0.0TLegalCopyright?2006-2009 Piriform."

I wish to know why I got this garbaged file (associated with Piriform, Recuva) and why it's not my HTML file that Tecuva stated it could recover?

Is this normal?

Did Recuva work correctly?

Can you advise on how to get my HTML file recovered correctly?

You got that because that file has been partially overwritten, sorry you probably will not be able to recover it

Did you install recuva to the same drive you were trying to recover from?

If so that's what overwrote part of the file

However I will use this a a chance to beg and implore Recuva Developers to Place a large warning on the download page of recuva stating not to download or install the program to the drive reovery is being atempted on
