Downloaded Recuva today and now find 'Delta Search' has supplanted Google as my browser.
Going to Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs ... and I find Delta Search is invisible so deletion becomes a problem.
Anyone else got seriously unwanted downloads with Recuva ?

Did you get the download from Piriform or FileHippo?

the only products included in the official installer are Chrome or Google Toolbar. The ONLY authorized downloads are the two above mentioned and CNET/Download.com

Sorry @Nergal I would have included CNET but I thought we were poo-pooing them due to the way they 'wrap' their software.

not an issue, not your place to have to mention it. I didn't realize there was a "we" with one view on anything (jokes eh)
On a purely personal level, I would never use CNet or Download.com to download anything, ever.
I prefer to get my downloads direct from the maker's site.
Looks like I failed badly on this one.
Must have used a spurious download site that adds on the s**t Delta Search.
Not only is DS much, MUCH slower than IE but it carries rubbish links and risks .... Blast.
Haven't yet found a way to remove it as it is 'designed' to be invisible and hard to remove.
Would CCleaner offer any hope of finding and killing off DS ?

Very unlikely CC will help you, just not what its designed to do.
Check your PM for potential removal avenue.
