Recuva doesn't see camera although Windows explore does?

New user question.

In explorer the camera does NOT have a drive letter. Recuva only lists drives with a letter? How can I make camera visible to Recuva?

Hi tommy, and welcome to the forum.

Being a camera, does it not have a removable memory card, which the computer will recognize as a drive if it's slipped into a computer card reader or a USB adapter?

I was hoping for a work around that did not require additional hardware.

It isn't always possible to have a drive letter assigned to a camera, but maybe your camera has a setting along the lines of "Mass Storage" device?

Some info here on the problem ...

... but does the computer you're connecting the camera to not have memory card slots?

The reason I mentioned the adapter is because it's one of the best things I ever bought. Not only is it much much faster than a card reader, it also enables me to view pics via my Blu-Ray player and/or TV's USB sockets.

Hope that helps.
