How many hours does it take the recovery system to list the deleted files on the average home computer with about 10 years of use?
size of harddrive? Deep scan on or off? 10 years so I assume that means XP, am I correct? How much use does the computer get? Do you know what you're looking for (file type)? are you using recuva's wizard or advanced mode?

are you using recuva's wizard or advanced mode? I have not downloaded yet, probably wizard.
32 gb disk normal scan? About 5 secs, if I chop after stage 1, which I do. About 30 secs if I let all stages run. This is on a 160 gb disk with 150,000 files in the MFT, which is what is being scanned. Even in a worse case I should expect the scan to complete in less time than it took to post your query.
