Recovery Success!

Thank you for saving our Christmas Cards this year. We took some pictures with santa on my Nikon D80 two weekends ago and I lost track of which SD card they were taken on. I made an educated guess without checking (my fault) and formatted the card via the camera's menu so I could take a different set of pictures. Last night I went to find those pictures to make some homemade Christmas cards. My laptop, her laptop, all the SD cards in the house... nothing. My wife was livid and being the techie in the house, I'm to blame... and the fact I formatted the card. Then I remembered I had installed Recuva from college because of some lost documents. I came to the site and downloaded the latest version and went to town on the SD cards.

I spent about 40-60 minutes scanning my two 8GB cards hoping that you program could find something, anything hidden in the bits. It took about 15-20 minutes per card and each showed "0 files found" until the very end of the recovery process. Recuva was able to find pictures on those cards that were over 2 years old and those are my primary cards. I'm very impressed and thankful that the program was able to get my pictures so we could send out Christmas cards.

Thank you from my whole family.

Very nice of you to go to the trouble to register, log in, and say that. :)

Glad XMas has been saved trisanta.gifChristmasTree.gif

You see, good things do happen sometimes :)

Merry Xmas to you and all your family.

epic! glad it worked! :D

Hi,

Almost the same thing here :P Thanks to the feature "search for non-deleted files", Recuva was able to recover all my photos from a corrupted ?SD card without a problem, whereas all other methods had failed. I was about to give up and format, and was pretty impressed. Good job!

Bye.

Thanks for popping by with your success story.

Merry Xmas :)
