Hello, I've used CC in the past and was told to give this a shot for my problem.
I have a 500gb partitioned (fat32) Toshiba drive that I need to recover a folder from. The folder, if my memory is correct, was almost 30gb in size. The folder was deleted from the hard drive via the recycle bin. While the other partitions have had some writing since then, but not a lot, the partitioned drive has had no writing to it whatsoever.
So how do I go about recovering the files? I've checked the drive and recycle bin using Recuva and none of the files or the folder name show up. My next step is the deep scan but I just want to make sure I'm doing this right because I'm not a pro at any of this.
So, to recap:
1. I have a 500gb fat32 drive that was partitioned before the deletion. Since the deletion other partitions have been written to but the usage of the drive has been minimal. The partition the folder was originally on has not been used whatsoever.
2. Do I need to search the recycle bin or the partition?
3. Will a deep scan work?
4. I'm attempting to recover video, audio and images.
5. OS is Win 7.
Thanks in advance.
