Greetings all,
First timer here, I'll edit where I can. I was using a Flip Camcorder to record in-car action. It suddenly became out-of-car action when the mount broke. The camera (wrapped in really thick pipe insulation) exited the window at about 90MPH! Suprisingly it survived the exit and will still power up and indicates there is a video file recorded. That's where the fun starts. The batteries came out on impact and the camera powered down and 'locked' the video in the camera. Recuva indicates there are files to be recovered. I have tried to recover them, but I'm not at all tech-savvy. I am using Windows 7 Professional version. My son managed to do a previous recovery using .chk file wizardry when the camera was just powered down accidentally, but that's not working this time. Profuse apologies, but I'll have to ask for instructions in 'drooling neanderthal' as that's about where I am. If it helps I believe Flip records in MP4 format. The last 8 seconds or so of this video would be something to watch! Thank you in advance.
