Recovered Video Files Not opening

Hi,

I am new to this but I used recuva to retrieve 4k drone footage from a san disk. The retrieval seemed to go well and when I went to open them on the PC they would not open. I used WMP, VLC, Movies and film to name a few apps but unfortunately they do not open. The files indicate excellent state with no overwritten clusters and vary in size from 148000kb to 600000kb.

during the initial SD card to PC download I was able to get three files downloaded before there was a problem with t he disk and the files disappeared from view on the card. The original mp4 files that downloaded work and view no problem.

It's almost impossible to answer this. We don't know what the file system is or why the card failed, and even if we did it would still be difficult to diagnose. What does Recuva say the file system is?

From experience most attempts at file recovery from stricken data cards unfortunately end in failure.
