I am trying to recover deleted photos from an xD card using a card reader. When recuva scans the drive it is finding 2,700+ files. I didn't take that many pictures and the card was not used before this or after the deleted files. However, Recuva shows 2,700 files recovered yet it shows no filenames or anything. It is totally blank. Is it finding files or not? Is there another way to recover these files? Every software I have tried says the files should be there, yet no other software has found anything. Does anyone know a company that recovers if I can't get Recuva to work?
The Files Found count includes live (undeleted) as well as deleted files. At the bottom of the page there are Found and Ignored counts: what are those figures? Did you run a deep scan? Do you have anything in the Filename or Path box, or did you choose any file selection criteria?
FAT32, though less sophisticated than NTFS, can be problematic when attempting file recovery.
