I deleted over 1,000 files by mistake, from my external hard drive; the system found them; how can I recover them all and restore them all without having to tick mark them one by one?
thank you and Happy New Year

You can either sort the files in the list (in Advanced mode) using the Filename or Path box, so that only the files you want to recover are shown, tick the checkbox in the top l/h, right/click and select Recover Checked, or set the view Mode to Tree, highlight the folder you want, right click and select Recover Highlighted.
Thank you!

Thank you for creating this post. I have the same issue.
What I ask at this time is for clarification. When you say to use the "Path Box" what do you mean?
My problem is that I know which files I want to recover. I have been able to distinguish them from the others by the "Comment" option. When I click it I get a list of all the recoverable files, followed by those which are not recoverable. I have been trying to drag click the 800 or so files I'd like to recover, but when I do they all get checked (as well as the unrecoverable files).
I've tried to use the Tree Mode, but there is only a C drive and their are no further options.
Any ideas?
OOPS....I got it.
I see what to do now.
Next question is: Ive heard you should not move the files to the desk top or the hard drive you recover them from. How can I transfer the files to another computer?
I'm guessing from your question that you only have the one unpartitioned drive? If you recover to the same drive, you can overwrite the very files you are trying to recover.
In fact use your computer as little as possible until you've carried out the recovery.
You could recover them to any external drive, either USB Hard Drive, or a Flash Thumb drive, or even a camera card.
You only need to recover a few at a time if you're external destination drive is pushed for space, and transfer them to the other computer in batches.
