Recently Opened Documents / VLC media

Hi

I am running Windows 7. When I open my start menu, a list of my most commonly used programs is displayed. Next to some of those programs (i.e. Excel, Word, VLC, Notepad) a tab is shown that lists the most recently opened files by that program. How can I set CCleaner to clear these entries? If there isn't a universal solution, I am looking to clear VLC media player in particular.

"Recent Documents" under Windows Explorer does not do this, and "Start Menu Shortcuts" only resets the order of programs, doesn't clear anything.

Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

Right click on your "Superbar".. go to "Start Menu". EDIT: Superbar is the Taskbar

Under "Privacy" Check or Uncheck whatever you want or don't want.

:) Hope this helps.

This does help, thanks!

However, I was hoping that I could find a way to clear it rather than disable the feature completely.

Is there a file that I could add to CCleaner, so that when I run the cleaner it will simply clear these entries?

Well you could do it manually. Right click on what you want to remove and "Remove from List".
