I am by NO means a computer "techie", but I have a question:
I run the CCleaner every day and have checked the box that says clean recent documents, and I thought it was working - I clicked the window's icon on the bottom left (start button) and when the "recent items" pops up and I click on it, there is nothing there - great. BUT, when I went to "My documents" folder and opened it, there was a tab for "recent documents" and ALL KINDS of things were in there - not sweet. Now I clicked on some of the links that were HTML based and tried to open and/or delete them but it said the file was either moved or deleted did I want to recreate it? So, I think it must have been deleted out of the temp internet files, yet this link was still there and I could still read what website it was - again, not sweet.
also, when I go tthe documents folder, there is a link under "favorite links" called "searches" and when I clicked on that there was a recent documents link and I clicekd that and found all kinds of stuff. Similarly, when I go to the start menu and type in "recent" it pulls up a zillion other files. I want all that CLEARED once adn for all! Please advise!
