I have CCleaner and am using for first time....so, I ran "analyze" and a good number of files are identified. I can't find an option to select which ones I want to have removed, so I assume I have to accept them all. And is this really safe...am I losing anything that I'd need, such as applications, programs, etc? Can't do a full back-up for a while due to travelling. Thanks!
Caution is always good.
After Analyze you can right click any result and choose to clean that, one group at a time.
Alternatively on the left side Top you can select between Windows and Applications and untick boxes that you do not want to risk,
and then analyze again and consider whether it is then safe enough for you.
The default settings are safe for many people, and are safe for me,
but I always look at the Analyze results to double check just in case.
Cleaning the registry is a higher level of risk - not recommended for beginners.
