I don't believe that is the case. It was carried out by MRG Effitas, which is a UK-based independent IT security research company that provides a range of cutting- edge efficacy assessment and assurance services to organisations around the world.

when para 1.1 starts with Zemana and para 1.2 says Competitor Products Tested then 1.3 promotes how "Zemana works differently..." it sounds skewed right from the get-go.

I certainly see what you mean mta. But still, I would not think that a company such as MRG Effitas (if we assume it's a reputable company ) would skew the results in order to favor a company. In fact, in another report by them from 2017, Zemana did not fair so well in comparison to some others (I read this early this morning).

Zemana does work differently being it's cloud-based, however it also installs a local signature. Probably why in several YouTube reviews of Zemana vs Malwarebytes and other products that it does so well.
Hi, I'm new in piriform. Back then, Ransomware is a really threath right ? But now, no one bats an eye anymore. What's important is, the lesson we got from the incident. From Ransomware Wannacry, It revealed that people tend to ignore antivirus and os update. Even the critical one. And that's when we go wrong.

well yeah true. but, my point is. Now, people didnt care too much about it. Because of the switch and people now do updates more often.
