"Ran Out of Memory"

After running Recuva there are no files shown and "ran out of memory" is displayed in the lower LH corner.

This PC has 2GB of RAM and 3GB of virtual memory located in partitions other than the one that recovery is being attempted on.

The partition is 124GB in size with 25.5GB used and 98.5GB free.

This has happened 3 times now.

How can I get passed this?

More info always helps such as what's the:

* Windows operating system version, including is it 32-bit or 64-bit.

* Recuva version.

I did a bit more searching on this and I'm thinking that it may be mostly a 32 bit limitation.

She has Win7 32 bit on her PC.

It scans at least 65% [that's the most I've seen it go so far] before shutting down.

Plus, she deleted the "lost" files last Tue. They may be unrecoverable by now.

She's not sure how much she's been working in that partition since then.

They are templates consisting of a number of html and associated file types.

I'm thinking that she may have to rebuild the templates from scratch.

But, we're still open to recovery suggestions.
