Quick question about Cleaning options

Per my boss's direction I implemented a ccleaner auto clean at the Domain level of our school district (3000+ computers), Some complaints have been voiced one of which was about the Start Menu items being cleared (which programs were last used).

I've looked at the options and to be honest I can't figure out which option cleans the Start Menu. On my windows 7 machine it was, Taskbar Jump lists. I don't have this enabled in my ini file, and I've tried disabling the items in there that refer to Menu anything.

Hi Chris, and welcome to Piriform.

You should be OK if you uncheck "User Assist History" in the Windows/Advanced section.

User Assist History

The start menu on Windows XP displays a list of the most recently run programs. Selecting this option will clear this list.
