When I delete older files from external hard drive such an old system image or data backup does CCleaner clean
them out? Last time I deleted some files I don't remember seeing them in the recycle bin to be cleaned out.
System is Win 7 ultimate. CCleaner Pro.

it would depend on how the Recycle Bin is setup.
you sometimes get a file deletion on an external drive not going to the Recycle Bin.
i just did a test on my NAS drive & USB stick and that was the result - no file placed in the bin.
other factors also come into play, like if deleting an image file you talk about, the file may have been too big for the recycle bin.
there is also the only delete files in recycle bin older than 24 hours option.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that before, deleting and not seeing it in the recycle bin. If it doesn't go there
when you delete it, where does it go and how do you know it was deleted?

when you delete something that won't go to the Recycle Bin, Windows will say are you sure you want to permanently delete this file then you know, if you continue, it'll be deleted without a restore method.
(well, not deleted deleted, just marked for the space to be reused and all that)
