Question about Defraggler

I set Defraggler to move archive, movie and image files larger than 250MB to the end of the drive before doing a full defrag on all of my drives.

I know it's going to take a long time for the defrag itself and a long time just to move those files around.

I've thought of two ways of speeding it up, but I'm not sure if they'll be effective or safe.

1) Setting the process to a higher priority than normal (I'm using Windows XP SP3)

2) Disabling my internet connection so I can safely turn off my firewall and virus scanner to free up some memory.

Can anyone speak definitively on whether either of those actions are a good idea?

PS - I also have a question about CCleaner:

I recently went into User Accounts 2 and deleted my admin account and made a new one, while trying to solve a problem with getting a certain program to run with Administrator priviledges (it wasn't running like it ought to). I noticed while Defraggler is sorting through my files on my Windows drive, that there is a lot of old folders in the Application Data directory for programs that I uninstalled years ago.

Does CCleaner remove these, or does it have to be done manually?

And a broader question would be, what does CCleaner leave behind after cleaning?

Defragging a hard drive isn't a CPU intensive process (unless your using PIO mode) therefore modifying the process priority would have no effect.

The speed limitations are dictated by the read/write performance of the hard drive and the IDE/SATA controller.

As for using your Internet while defragging i.e. casual web browsing / Instant Messaging I very much doubt this would cause any measurable increase in run time unless you're continuously downloading files.
