Today I received a notice from my bank that CCLEANER using Cleverbridge took 79.95 from my bank card. I have never even given them my card information.
Now the issue is sadly worse. I purchased and use EVERY YEAR my ONE TIME FOREVER SUBSCRIPTION TO CCLEANER. This is the one they offer a decade ago and I bought it.
When I chatted with CCleaner today they lied and said 'last year you paid with a CC or DC' Well they once again illegally used my CC information to take from me. They ALSO HAD TO RETURN IT. I keep records. NOW--- I called the bank today and they ALSO confirmed the $$ was RETURNED last year.
The big difference this year is they have had 10 years to get this straight. This is illegal period. They know better and have been bought or are run now by scum.
I hope people get together and take them to TASK and make them never try to or rip off another buyer.
Shame on CCleaner and hope they get it right or go under. Everyones better anyway.

You must have given them your card detals at sometime, or they wouldn't be able to use them to charge against the card.
You do have a fairly simple solution to stop it happening again - ask your bank to change/renew your card, the old one will be cancelled.
If you don't give them the new card details then they can't charge against it.
That's just the same as will happen when your current card reaches it's expiry date and you then have to update the details anywhere that you use it.
PS, Never put your email address in plain view like that - not unless you want to get a lot of spam, and scam, emails.
What you say here is erroneous. CCleaner hires CleverBridge to collect for them. I changed my card not long ago but I have other subscriptions - one is Netflix and one if YouTube Premium. There are others that CleverBridge collects for. They have my CC info and used it illegally. They have done this before. I called the bank and they also had to return the money last year. And the year before and before. This happens every year. I just want it to stop b.c it's illegal. They know or should know better. This will be the last year most likely. They should remember that I bought the forever subscription when they were new and struggling. PS -- THEY KNOW IT.
