I was cleaning my document folder and i accidently deleted MS outlook personal archive folder. (.pst) After i found out my archive folders were all gone from my outlook, i went back to recycle bin and restored everything but the archive folder was not in the recycle bin for some reason. (guess the size is too big?)
I did system restore (a day earlier) hoping to get my archive folder back but didnt work.
These email is work-related and i must not delete them. Is recuva able to restore the folder?
Yes, but if you've used the computer since the deletion, they may not be recoverable. Especially becuase you ran a system restore (which for future reference doesn't restore files such as documents and PST files, only system files). Which operating system version do you use? If windows seven you have a very good chance that the old file is still in Volume Shadow. If you do find the PST in recuva and it says that it is recoverable, be sure to recover it to a separate media device (a flash drive or second/external harddrive) which gives you a better chance of success in restoration.
I am using XP. Since the deletion, i have been using the computer >.<. ( I stil need to work) I have run free version of recuva and didnt detect anything. If i purchase the full version, what is the chance of recoving PST file? I appreciate for your reply.
There isn't a paid version of Recuva, what you (can) pay for is support. Have you tried a deep scan? Clutching at straws, but there's nothing else to clutch at the moment.
