Programs not working right, after CCleaner Please help

So I run CCleaner on a regular basis with no issues at all until now. I updated CCleaner to ver 3.01. I ran the Ccleaner and noticed it came up with a lot more file than usual but thought that was due to the update it would find more file to get rid of so I let it clean now some programs are not working. I can not seem to download file in google. Windows update jus keeps freezing when I try to run it. I am also trying to use a program that that needs to browse my drive but when I click browse nothing happens when it was just working before I used CCleaner. Can anyone please help. I have tried to go to a restore point but now there is no restore point before using CCleaner and it was just a few days ago

It sounds like you used the registry section. can you confirm this.

Did you use the Wipe Free Space checkmark in the cleaner section.

have you tried to reboot the machine and then download a file?

What is the program that you are trying to use to "browse you drive"

What is your OS version (XP?Vista?Seven?)

Yes this is true

I have tried rebooting an still nothing but I can download off of FireFox it seems.

I am trying to use redsn0w, program to unlock iphone

I am using Vista 64bit

Please remember that a forum is not instant messaging and you should not bump a topic so soon after a post, many of us are in other countries and thus may not answer immediatly (you posted at 11:09 my local time and then immediatly stated "Any ideas for me?" less than one hour later).

That said:

A couple things here:

1) because you used the reg cleaner you may have indeed removed something which was needed. Please in the future when using this, or any registry cleaner, follow the advice in my signature. Did you make a backup of the registry entries you removed? if so you should be able to right click the saved .reg file and choose merge.

2) try this:

  2. Open internet explorer.
  3. go to tools>internet options
  4. go to the Advanced Tab
  5. Click the reset button on that tab

3) "I am trying to use redsn0w, program to unlock iphone" this is not supported behavior here, as it constitutes your breaking the manufactures contract with you. Also it could well be that :

  2. You removed registry entry needed for that program
  3. or that it is a unsafe program which reaked havoc on your p.c.
