Program to wipe deleted files on free space?

As in, a program to ensure any files that are already deleted can't be recovered.

Thanks

Normal usage will over write free space and updating to Windows SP3 that has been available for about 5 months will over write some free space and then run Windows Defrag that will further jumble up free space.

Eraser has a wipe free space function.

I would say Eraser is the best one to use, but be sure to use only version 5.7, and turn off system restore before you wipe. Oh and don't defrag before you wipe. Good luck.

I am interested in understanding the use of Eraser and I am interested in your suggestions. Could you explain the reasons for the suggested way to use Eraser.

Thanks

Eraser is alright but it just installs way too much. Eraser Portable on the other hand is great as it doesn't require installation.
