Problems with activating subscription and updating Ccleaner 3.25.1877

I am using Windows 7 on a new Dell desktop. I upgraded (so I thought) to the Ccleaner Professional version3.25.1872 (64bit) When I try to update it gives me the error code of Ox2etd a connection with the server could not be established. I have been working with piriform rep to try to solve this problem to no avail. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled. No effect, same error code and can not update. I have unchecked the publishers certificate revocation and server certification revocation and no effect same error code. i have started the computer in safe mode and tried to register and same thing no effect same error code.

DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM? WHAT WOULD BE THE RECOMENDED FIX?

If you have paid for the software then as you know Piriform support should help you with this, contact them again and ask for further help.

(My own thoughts on this would be to ask what browser you are using, what security software you are using and if you tried safe mode with networking)

Even though I use free version, here are 2 things you can test to see if it fixes your problem.

1 -> Uncheck use proxy in your web browser settings. If unsure how, google it.

2 -> Temporarily switch Windows Firewall off & try it again.

3 -> Try another browser such as Firefox.

Hopefully, one of these will work for you.
