Problems getting back into a programme

Whenever I run CCleaner I am unable to get back into one programme I use even though I have the cookies for this site marked to be saved.

As a landscape photographer, I use a programme called The Photographers Ephemeris. This basically tells me where the sun will be at any time during the day. After I have run CCleaner on my PC all I get from this programme/App when I try to go back into it is a greyed out “I Agree” button. The “I Agree” button tells me I have problems with cookies for that particular site.

I have no problems at all with any other site that I use after running CCleaner.

Since I originally posted this thread, I spoke to the developers of The Photographers Ephemeris telling them the problem. They came back with the following: “You might want to check that CCleaner is not set to clear browser local storage for The Photographers Ephemeris. The web app primarily uses browser local storage rather than cookies, so it’s possible that’s getting cleared out.”

Not sure if that helps solve the problem at all.

No ideas anyone? Help or advice would be really appreciated.

CC version?

OS version?

Browser?

What settings have you tried turning off in CC so far?

So you've told CC to keep that sites cookies.... what about unticking your browser from the Windows tab (if IE) or Applications tab (if Firefox or Chrome) ?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I’m running Windows 7 with IE 11. CC V3.10.1525. I have not turned off any settings in CC as I have no idea where to start and I have not unticked my browser from the Windows tab, again I have no idea where to start.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

First up, that is a very old version of CC.

Get the latest from here; http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds

Next, on the Windows tab of CC, untick all the boxes under Internet Explorer.

See if that stop your site being cleansed.

Of course, none of Internet Explorer would then be cleansed, but small steps first. :)

Thanks for the help. I'll give it a try.
