Can you start in safe mode?
First thanks.
No i can't.
Where did you get the CCleaner download from, the update button in the CCleaner program?
Or did you download it?
Did you use CCleaner issues clean just before you tried to update?
Have you had any spyware problems recently?
Are you using XP?
EDIT, do you mean you don't know how to start in safe mode, or it is not possible to do it?
What is the errror message?

It was not from the program, it was the automatic update window. (this one which ask if you want to update your version). I said yes.
It run itself. I worked a few minutes "normally" and then the computer shut down. And till now when i try to restart i get on Windows board.
It was already installed. I had just updated.
I did run it before.
I am using XP
P.S.: I have try a restart in save mode. Nothing.

Re:
And many thanks.
Hi,
Maybe you can give me another way to do it.
But when i talk about save mode it is when Windows ask you if you want to open
- in last configuration knowned
- last without connexion
- normal
- etc.
It is the way i have done it.
Everything goes like it was good, but in fact it makes me the same thing as the normal start.
Welcome blue desktop, trying to connect and disconnect as soon.
I have try to put in standby mode. The computer restart itself by itself. It can stay in this mode too.
P.S.: no error message. Just stay on Windows Welcome board (where you are invited to enter as a GUEST, ADMIN or with your username). When you try to log, you can read, as normally "connecting to windows or something like that". In the second you can read "disconnexion, saving your parameters". And you come back on the welcome board. (a sort of cycle)
Have you pressed the F8 button every couple of seconds just after you have turned on the computer? (when the first bits of white writing on black screen flash past)
It should the give you a choice to boot into safe mode. You may have to use your arrow keys to move up the screen to choose it.
Windows may only give you the admin account to choose from here.
When windows loads it will be a black screen with your icons on it.
Have you done this?

Re:
yes, i have!
Make the same thing. Try to load and disconnect. I never get on the blue screen, nor the black in save mode.

P.S.: Sorry for the delay... Sometimes i have to go. Don't worry, I will check your answer from time to time.
Thanks.
Do you have a windows xp disc ?
Do you have a windows xp disc ?
Re:
What do you mean by windows xp disc
my system is windows xp
my disc (hard), i don't really know what it is. but i don't think it is a windows one (product of)
I meant a windows xp cd.
I meant a windows xp cd.
Oh sorry!
yes,
I have no more things I can suggest with not being in front of your computer.
If you put in your windows cd you could either do a repair install,
or a complete reinstall
or try putting in the cd press R in the setup and select your xp installation from the list. enter admin password and then
type FIXMBR and press the y key on your keyboard to confirm the next question. Then exit when finished.
As I say it's difficult, as we seem to have a bit of difficulty understanding each other.
do you thing you might have had any virus/spyware problem?

The problem is that i can access windows.
And i don't really know dmos commands
What could i do to copy my hard disk? (from dmos - what commands)
Could you help me?
P.S.: i am very sorry for my english. I am french... so... :-)
Perhaps you could try and get hold of a linux live cd, see if you can boot from it and access your files to copy perhaps.
Otherwise, someone else may have some ideas other than reformatting.

Yes, i'd prefer to try something else other than reformatting.
I am going to try with the live cd, as you say.
I didn't know before. But i have read a bit about it. I found that link :
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/LiveCD
and that one
But i don't know which one to choose.
Can you recommend one to me. I could download anyone, but which is the best for my problem. They speak of Desktops, OS Replacement, Education, Rescue, etc...
:-)
I think I would find it difficult to suggest one as I have not used a live cd to recover files before.
It would probably be a good idea to go onto a Linux forum and ask for help about which one would suit you best.
This link (a bit old) here shows what can be done using Knoppix live cd. Sorry it's in English!

Let us know how you go on.

Give me some time, please. I will let you know.
P.S.: I thank you very much.
