My O.S. is Windows XP PRO. I have a Dell AIO A940 printer. Dell claims that my printer will not print due to CCleaner use, which somehow turns off my printer spooler (when I access "Services", sure enough the print spooler is turned off as well as 2 dependencies files that are needed are turned off), makes my computer believe the printer driver/s are not installed (when I go to reinstall them I am told those files already exist, so - to make sure I click on overwrite and just let it reinstall them) and finally tells me I am missing a particular dll file (when I use "search" I find the file in 2 separate locations and I then type in the address where it is located) and this will make the printer work fine, at least until I run CCleaner again.
Does anyone have a clue so this computer novice can get his printer to work again, permanently??
Are you using the registry cleaner in CC? Or just the file cleaner? So the spooler service is ending after running CC? Have you looked at the event viewer to see why the service stopped?
I posted earlier this week with the same exact problem. Dell couldnt figure it out and said it couldnt be the CCleaner. I have a dell printer as well......they tried to troubleshoot it the first time , but I ended up just reinstalling the driver. I dont print from this laptop often, but its rather annoying to have to reinstall the driver each time I need to print.
Im not using the registry cleaner, are you?
I can testify that CCleaner does not affect the Print Spooler service operation.
Make sure that the service is set to Automatic so that it starts with Windows.
I prefer Event Log Explorer? to look at event logs:
here is what I found using event viewer. I have no clue what it means. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You

If you double click the application logs first and look for an error at the time it happened, double click it, and it will show some info. There are two little piece of paper icons there which will copy the info if you click on them, and then you can paste it here.
