FYI - The latest copy of CrapCleaner (v3.09.1493) in the FileHippo download area is flagged by Trustport Antivirus as being infected with a virus. The copy I obtained from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/update seems to be OK.
Please can you report this to Trustport so that they can update their definitions to deal with this false positive.
Thanks
On Jotti only ClamWin AV reports something as seen here:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/67b39cf5a0d1531f17ea9aca4517e79e1d978fe3
Although I find it strange how ClamWin Portable which I have installed doesn't detect anything. Nonetheless as always it's just a false positive, it is not infected!
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Trustport uses Clam as (one of) it's (many) AV engines
Here's a Quote from PCMAG
With its multiple antivirus engines TrustPort detects more malware than most. It's especially good at keeping malware out of a clean system.
For fun here's the entire review summary (IMHO seems like a crudy software)
ProsCan install in Safe Mode. Excellent malware detection. In testing, especially effective against scareware. Best-yet detection rate for malware blocking.
Cons
Many test systems bluescreened during scan. Poor cleanup of detected malware. Default action for real-time protection merely blocks access to malicious files. Behavior-based detection doesn't distinguish valid files from malware.
Bottom Line
With its multiple antivirus engines TrustPort detects more malware than most. It's especially good at keeping malware out of a clean system. However, in testing it flopped at cleaning up the malware it detected, leaving quite a few detected threats running. This product is best used on a brand-new clean computer.
Seems like all of those engines might cause a bit of internal conflict.
