Is it possible to exclude specific cookies from being deleted by CCleaner?
Hello E_Nose and welcome to the forum. How to exclude cookies is explained here:
http://www.piriform....cookies-to-keep
Highlight the cookie(s) you want to keep, then use the arrows to move them from the left (delete) side to the right (keep) side.
Edit: I just realized the illustration is missing from that page. Hope you can make do without it. Maybe one of the mods or admins can look into it.
Info about missing illustration has been passed on.
How do you chose cookies to exclude when C shows none? This is after visiting cnn.com, yahoo.com, and logging into Facebook, GMail, and Twitter. No cookies.
Do you have cookies blocked in your browser's security settings? Or maybe set to delete cookies when closing the browser? I'm not very familiar with Mac systems, just going by what I know from using I.E. and Firefox.
I was able to use a browser I never use and collect cookies, so I got it working. I don't have Firefox blocking cookies, and it was open whan I did the earlier check (and I don't have it set to clear history automatically), so it seems a bit odd. Anyway, thanks for the help!
Maybe the browser (Safari?) was set inadvertently to "Private Browsing"?
Just a thought.
I can confirm that CCleaner is correctly loading Firefox, Chrome and Safari cookies on Mac OS X 10.8.5.
Was the browser in question running whilst the clean occurred (on MAC you must file>exit your browser before clean)
