"CCleaner 7 is designed to be installed on a machine rather than run as a portable executable. This change has allowed us to improve functionality across various parts of the product.
We know portable matters to some users, so we’re tracking demand through the early rollout. Interest has been lower than expected so far, but we’ll keep monitoring as more people upgrade and factor it into future plans."
I have no idea how Avast / Piriform is “tracking demand” for a portable build of CCleaner v7.x but I agree with Nergal that v6.9 is probably the last official build portable of CCleaner. I won’t be installing the buggy, bloated CCleaner v7.x on my system so I’m moving on to a different disk cleaner.
