Popups are one thing but to force me to click on a button to make it go away?
Just what the security folks would not like users to have forced onto them.
It is very annoying to have to restart my computer to make it go away. Or to force me to use Task Manager to quit ccleaner works too.
NO one should click on these types of ploys. I like ccleaner but you are really starting to tick me and a whole lot of security conscious folks out there.
Dumb! Idea! I maynot renew my pro subsciption if this keeps up.
I’m not sure i understand. if you mean cleaning and offer pop-up in the right hand corner of the screen, the there is one of two reason those stay open.
-
your mouse is hovering over it. As long as the cursor is above the popup, it will stay on the screen.
-
the thumb tack is in stay mode. press the tack toggle once on a popup, and they all shoild disappear in about 11 seconds.
if you mean other popups tell us. i think i promoted you high enough to post screen shots, I’m still getting used to this new craptastic “forum” software
Ok. Let us try this again. I’m not hovering over anything. I using my computer and then up pops up a window on the right side of the screen telling me that my subscription for ccleaner Pro will be expiring in 90 days. The only button I’m given is one button with upgrade in it. NO X in the upper right hand corner. Absolutely no way to make it go away otherwise forcing me to click on it to get back that part of my screen. That is what is unusual. And if I’m a trusting sole I might just click on it then. How do I know where this window came from for sure. Using the task manager will make it go away but why make someone do this? There should be a click here for NOT Now . Someone from sales or support telling me to turn of smart monitoring so I won’t see popups kind of defeats the whole purpose of having the smart feature to begin with and it helpful to some of my users. They contact me asking “How do I get rid of this box covering up my workspace in the middle of my current task?” It would be just a simple change to how your support and marketing folks do this. Don’t lock up a large portion of the screen for this nonsense. Give them an easy way out. I’m not yelling but * Constructive criticism is what I’m trying to convey here.

A real nice guy trying to communicate.
No trees of plants of any kind were harmed in creating this message.
I’m just a CCleaner user like you, i was unsure the popup you are referring to as my copy is consistently updated before such popups.
