please could someone help me ccleaner has removed my passwords and i can no longer get in to my hotmail account as cant remember the password.....where do the deleted passwords go and can i get back ,as aftera day on the phone to microsoft they will not reset password as i no longer have access to the retival email due to cleaner (i only wish i wrote the psswords down old skool way)
please help me get my life back
CCleaner does not backup the passwords.
What happened was it deleted your cookies, in the future you'll need to configure CCleaner's Cookies to Keep list located in:
Options > Cookies
and when CC deletes files, in your case cookies, it doesn't send them to the Recycle Bin, it really deletes them.
(well you may want to try Recuva but.... no guarantees)
doesn't Hotmail, Live, Outlook.com or whatever it calls itself now-days have a Forgot Password link where you are asked questions or sent a email link reset the password? Or did you not setup an alternate email address when you signed up with Hotmail?
