I think there should be an audio, video file formats converting and DVD ripping software by Piriform.
That area is already smack dab full of software some good like Freemake Video Converter, and of course allot of crap not worth the time.
If they wanted to make a converter as closed source freeware like all the other software they make they probably couldn't use GPL/GNU open source backend programs which allot of converters use anyways.
Speaking of Piriform Software, any word on the two new titles?

They don't tell us, so we'll learn of it when everyone else does.
Darn, I was hoping you had some insider info!
Ah well, hopefully soon we'll see one! I'm excited.
I bet they were intigued by my earlier defraggler carousel idea.
But really, I'd guess that their new idea revolves around a multiple benchmark app.
how about a tool to scan for the latest drivers for the user pc?
the existing I do not think is so sparkling...
I know this would be way out of subject for Piriform but what I'd like to see (from anyone) is a DVD app that recognizes bad blocks in advance and gives you the option to skip over them during playback.
