Photo forwarding not working

After doing CCleaner updates and clean-ups; I cannot right click and forward photos or documents. I get this message.

There is no email program associated to perform the requested action.

Please install an email program or, if one is already installed

create an association in the default programs control panel.

Did you use the registry tool? or just the cleaner?

If just the cleaner, did you use "easy clean" or "custom clean"? If the latter what settings did you change from the default (if any)?

What mail program do you use?

Unfortunately, I originally just wanted to clean but as you said it asked if other things need to be done and

I suppose, being somewhat new to computers, I ticked yes

The mail program I am using is Mozilla Thunderbird

This is the right-click "Send to Email Recipient" in Windows? Apparently Windows can lose associations after updates. This has come up a bit in the Microsoft help forums. See if this works for you:

Go to Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Your Default Program

Select "Mail" and then select your preferred email application from the list

No, that did not work. Any other suggestions?

I am still getting this message when I right click and left click on send to mail recipient:

There is no email program associated to perform the requested action.

Please install an email program or, if one is already installed

create an association in the default programs control panel.

have you tried uninstalling, rebooting and reloading Thunderbird?

Thanks for your idea. My concern is, will I lose all my information and contacts if I uninstall Thunderbird and

then reinstall it again?

I haven't done that to TB for a while, but pretty sure it all remains in the current Mozilla profile directory.

but to be sure, to be sure, you could always make a copy of that folder and re-import those emails if it doesn't.

Thank-you for your help.

Let me take a few deep breaths and give it a whirl

in the next few days

Thunderbird was not on the list of available email apps to select from?

Hello, Thunderbird was there and I clicked on it and retried and this same message came up:

There is no email program associated to perform the requested action.

Please install an email program or, if one is already installed

create an association in the default programs control panel.

I even went to straight mail as is recommended by Microsoft and nothing changed.

Extremely frustrating to say the least because this right click to send info is a real asset.

Other than paying for someone, it would be nice if I could just retrieve what I had before I did the

Clean-up with CCleaner.

If the PC hasn't been rebooted since that happened give it a try.
