Bonjour,
It’s by design that you can’t automate it. You must judiciously select only the files you want to get rid of and know that it won’t cause issue. MANY of those, depending on your settings, are probably system and/or program files, duplicated by the system or program for a reason. Try to Restrict your search some.
These are the defaults did you unclick any or click any from that?
Did you limit the search to a (for instance) photo’s folder (Press Add then point to folder that only check off that folder under include)
From the FAQ
How do I know which files are safe to delete after running a search?
We recommend you review the file path and, if necessary, the file itself to ensure that it is, in fact, a duplicate and not needed by a program on your computer. You can open a file from the Duplicate Finder screen by right-clicking the file > Open Containing Folder, then double-clicking the file in the window that opens.
The above is in french for your convenience
As you appear to be mainly interested in duplicate images then I suggest that you use a duplicate finder that is designed for finding duplicate (and near duplicate) images.
One such as VisPics. or Awesome duplicate photo finder, or one of the many others available.
